We also provided interpretations for Arcana III to VII—how money flows in, how it flows out, and how to nurture harmony between money and your partner. In this instalment, we offer interpretations for the remaining Arcana.
Continuation of the Interpretations
Arcana VIII: Justice
Money flows out: when careless or wasteful spending decisions are made, and one doesn’t track expenses but simply spends freely. Taking out loans is ill-advised under this energy, as it can act like unresolved karma and block the financial flow.
Money flows in: when one gives to charity and makes sincere donations regularly. The financial flow opens only when a person resolves their karma—stops deceiving or scheming and instead conducts all affairs with honesty.
To improve the relationship: remember that your partner is your teacher. Marriage is recommended; resolve conflicts promptly and plan together in meticulous detail. Do not hide your income from your partner, and keep a clear “home–work” balance.
Arcana IX: The Hermit
Money flows out: when one leads an ascetic life, withdraws completely from the outside world and becomes overly introspective. Financial hardship can also arise if the Hermit deems money and the material world unimportant, and fails to share their wisdom with others.
Money flows in: when there is a healthy balance between the material and spiritual realms, and one confronts negative beliefs about money while generously sharing their knowledge.
To improve the relationship: honour your need for personal space—do not dive headlong into your partnership. Conflicts often stem from a lack of wisdom, patience and a shared willingness to grow.
Arcana X: Wheel of Fortune
Money flows out: when one bears the entire workload alone, refuses to collaborate, or remains stuck in an unfulfilling position.
Money flows in: when one trusts the Universe, delegates wisely, maintains a positive outlook and works well within a team.
To improve the relationship: build your partnership around ease, enjoyment and positive emotions, avoiding unnecessary tension.
Arcana XI: Strength
Money flows out: when one is under constant stress, swings from hoarding money to squandering it, or shifts between being a workaholic and being overly lazy.
Money flows in: when one works calmly and relaxedly, receives finances with gratitude and spends them thoughtfully.
To improve the relationship: allocate energy wisely in the partnership to prevent tantrums, exhaustion and bursts of anger. Always address conflicts and concerns in a state of calm. Issues also arise when one lacks self-belief and recognition of their own uniqueness and beauty.
Arcana XII: The Hanged Man
Money flows out: when one undervalues their potential and fails to demand fair pay, or adopts a victim mentality.
Money flows in: when one loves their work because it benefits others, welcomes criticism, values, loves and indulges themselves.
To improve the relationship: relinquish the victim role. Pursue your own goals and plans irrespective of your partner. The Hanged Man can offer genuine love only when fulfilled in society. To avoid pleading for love, begin by loving yourself.
Arcana XIII: Death
Money flows out: when one makes impulse purchases or spends on mere whims. Financial flow can be blocked if one dwells on the past and resists looking to a brighter future.
Money flows in: when one is open to external prospects and manages funds wisely (consultations with a financial adviser are beneficial). Periodically changing one’s field of work also helps.
To improve the relationship: stop fearing an ending. Let go of relationships that have run their course.
Arcana XIV: Temperance
Money flows out: when there is no balance between the material and the spiritual, and spending is neither moderate nor rational. The financial flow is blocked if one fails to inject creativity into daily life or works in an unlovable field.
Money flows in: when one works in a pleasurable sphere and channels emotions into creativity. To open the flow, one must resolve inner resentments and accept criticism calmly.
To improve the relationship: handle money with care as a couple; invest in creativity, travel and cultural outings.
Arcana XV: The Devil
Money flows out: when the Devil squanders funds on lavish living, indulgences and addictions.
Money flows in: through restraint and acceptance of one’s darker sides (aggression and pity).
To improve the relationship: refrain from pointing out your partner’s flaws; begin with self-reflection. Learn to control your weaknesses.
Arcana XVI: The Tower
Money flows out: when the Tower focuses on materialism and spends on items that bear destructive energy.
Money flows in: by maintaining a balance between the spiritual and the material, and by planning one’s future with clarity and foresight.
To improve the relationship: work through material attachments and move towards unconditional love. Partners must learn to weather crises together and adapt for one another.
Arcana XVII: The Star
Money flows out: when one lives in pride and spends their last resources on a “star-studded” lifestyle.
Money flows in: when one tames their ego and works through pride. Promising opportunities emerge through new connections.
To improve the relationship: do not suppress one another; instead, highlight your partner’s virtues.
Arcana XVIII: The Moon
Money flows out: when one is plagued by fears about their financial state.
Money flows in: when one recognises and works through negative financial beliefs.
To improve the relationship: address negative mindsets and learn from past relationships.
Arcana XIX: The Sun
Money flows out: when greed prevails, one fails to express gratitude and fixates on a single concern.
Money flows in: when one distributes their energy across multiple pursuits. Engaging in charity and having a mentor can be especially beneficial.
To improve the relationship: do not control your partner’s finances and be generous with gifts.
Arcana XX: Judgement
Money flows out: when one disrespects or criticises their parents, ancestry or homeland.
Money flows in: when one maintains strong family ties and honours their lineage’s history.
To improve the relationship: do not try to impose changes on your partner; begin by changing yourself.
Arcana XXI: The World
Money flows out: when one fritters away cash on unneeded items and manages finances recklessly.
Money flows in: when one harbours no limiting beliefs and approaches borrowing thoughtfully.
To improve the relationship: maintain true partnership by doing everything together. Travel often.
Arcana XXII: The Fool
Money flows out: when one first squanders funds on trivialities and then abruptly switches to austerity. Any attachment to material things worsens the financial picture.
Money flows in: when everything around you is seen as an opportunity for growth and expansion. Remain light-hearted and avoid over-attachment to any single workplace.
To improve the relationship: cultivate a sense of freedom, balance income and expenditure, and remember to spend on leisure.
Sound financial management will not only help multiply your wealth but also strengthen your relationship with your partner.
